]]>A special thanks to Eiropas Savienības māja for hosting our working sessions. Your support and hospitality greatly contributed to the success of our meeting.
Riga was freezing, snowy, and totally beautiful! We had a blast walking around the old town, even with the cold. The food at Bārs Garāža was amazing and chatting about everything under the sun really made our time special. Big thanks to Riga for the inspiration!

In Riga, partners met to discuss the final steps of the project:

The consortium just had a fantastic meeting and made great progress on the final stages of our project. We’re really excited about the upcoming pilot testing of the UNITED GENERATIONS learning platform – it’s going to be a major step forward in bringing together young instructors and seniors across our partner countries.
]]>In CGE Erfurt e.V., we are excited to share the outcomes of our recent United Generations Pilot Testing, focusing on bridging the gap between generations through education. The goal was to foster intergenerational and lifelong learning in English Literacy and Digital Skills.

What We Did
Over the past few months, we’ve been busy conducting pilot tests of the United Generations modules. These sessions were held in Erfurt and attracted a diverse group of learners, both seniors and the youth.
Background Work
Our journey began with preliminary testing conducted with adult educators at the Emphasys Center in Cyprus, back in June 2023. This initial step set the stage for our comprehensive approach in Germany.

Timeline & Activities
From October 2023 to January 2024, each partner pilot and assess unique teaching methods.
Here’s a glimpse of CGE’s workshops:
02.11: Cooking & Learning English Together
09.11: Art & Wine, English Learning Session
17.11: Board Game Night, English Learning Fun
24.11: Art & Wine, English Learning Evening

Looking Ahead
By conducting these pilot tests in various countries, we’re gathering insights to enhance our educational materials.
Stay tuned for more updates

United Generations Pilot Testing!![]()

On the 17th of November of 2023, the United Generations project came to life in an interactive event: “Board Games Night” ![]()
This evening brought together 21 people from diverse backgrounds, different age gaps, multiple cultures, and languages, with a common goal of promoting intergenerational collaboration and learning. ![]()
![]()
The event focused on testing some learning modules designed to promote language skills, specifically focusing on vocabulary for social interactions and methods for improving listening skills, and applying these modules while playing games. ![]()
Fostering communication between generations, the room was filled with enthusiasm and joy, as people engaged in a pictionary game. ![]()
Splitting into teams, the participants had to guess which word was being drawn on the whiteboard by their team members. The words used in the game were selected from the vocabulary and listening modules, encouraging participants to apply their social interaction skills in a playful and engaging way. ![]()
The participants were also presented with a diverse group of board games in both English and German, creating a space for multilingual groups to play and test their language skills in specific situations. ![]()
This interactive approach facilitated a sense of unity among the participants. ![]()
As the 3rd event aimed at promoting learning modules in the community, “Board Games Night” showcased the power of learning through play and intergenerational collaboration, proving that United Generations project goes beyond its educational purpose. ![]()
